Everyone knows of Park City as the premier Winter destination. Not only is it a skiing and snowboarding paradise, but it is a gorgeous location with softly driven snow covering naturally stunning mountain peaks. What they might not know is that it is just as exciting in the warmer months.
Summer in Park City is a fabulous time with a lot to see and do. If you are thinking of buying a home there, or even buying a vacation home, here are some things you must check out.
For The Outdoor Adventurer
Park City is a paradise for anyone who loves the outdoors. You can paddle boat, jetski, swim and more in one of the many natural lakes throughout the canyons. Check out the hot spring at Canyon’s Village, check out the lovely Silver Lake, or see the legendary Saltair.
You can hike along the many trails located through the mountains, set for every skill level. There are also mountain biking trails, horseback riding trails, and scalable peaks where you can climb to your heart’s content.
For thrill seekers there is Olympic Park, which has everything from outdoor tubing to indoor skating and a lot more. Those with a truly courageous heart can try cliff jumping, paragliding and other extreme sports.
For The Luxury Lover
Park City is full of luxury spas throughout the city. Aura Spa is well known as a more casual place to go and relax with a massage, facial or other treatment. Remede is set in the mountains, giving an incredible view alongside their services.
You can top off your night with a fine dining experience at one of the many high end restaurants in town. Riverhorse on Main provides a tantalizing take on American cuisine, using locally sourced and healthy ingredients. For some delicious Italian dishes try Ghidotti's, where you can often find the restaurant’s namesake overseeing the experience of the diners, who are almost always return customers.
For The Kids
Like most of Utah, Park City is very family oriented. Everywhere you go you can find special events, classes and activities aimed at children of different ages. The Swaner Eco Center has nature walks, bird watching, rock climbing, art days and more through the summer. The Kimball Art Center has an annual festival with a ton of activities in everything from painting to clay work.
Be sure to check out the Deer Valley concert series, where every week artists from all genres, including full orchestras, play cheap or free shows in the evenings. You can end your nights listening to music with your family under the stars.
