Palm Beach, Florida Realtors Report Continuing Hot Seller's Market

One of the most famous communities in Florida, Palm Beach still has a lot of allure for homebuyers, say local Realtors.

"Palm Beach, Florida is the treasure of the South Florida area," says Realtor Sheri Stewart . "It has great dining, excellent shopping on Worth Ave. ( a world-class shopping street) and breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. You can be sure that all the wealthiest clientele will be there from all over the world."

Palm Beach Island

"Palm Beach Island has it all," says Realtor Kenneth Millsaps , "fabulous restaurants, ocean breezes, beautiful beaches, fantastic shopping on Worth Avenue and outstanding real estate opportunities. It's located east of downtown West Palm Beach and across the intercoastal on Palm Beach Island. Last year there were 227 resales with a price range from $595,000 to $33,600,000. Currently there are 123 properties on the market with a price range from $795,000 to $33,500,000. The island is served by several private schools and the Palm Beach County School District which has 222 schools serving 164,896 students with 9,095 teachers."

Palm Beach Gardens

"Palm Beach Gardens has a land area of 55 square miles, making it the largest city in Palm Beach County," explains Realtor Skip Yachanin . "The year 2000 census showed a population of 38,055, but it has grown considerably in the last five years and is continuing to do so. The city likes to refer to itself as the golf capital of the world because of the many fine private and public courses in the area. Since the eastern boundary of the city is the Intercostal Waterway, boating is also a popular pastime with the residents. The upscale Gardens Mall is a favorite for shoppers from all over the area. The city is located 70 miles north of Miami and the Palm Beach International Airport is only 7 miles away."

"The strong seller's market in Palm Beach Gardens is showing no signs of weakening during this third quarter of 2005," continues Yachanin. "New construction of both commercial and residential properties is taking place all around the city. Prices for both new construction and existing homes are climbing steadily due to high demand and low inventory. Many of the older homes on the water are being remodeled or torn down. Residential new construction projects sell out before the models are completed. Rental apartments are being converted to condominiums and buyers are waiting in line just to get a number that will be entered in a drawing giving them the opportunity to purchase a unit."
