The housing market contains two sides: one for buyers and one for sellers. If you want your properties in a sellers’ market, you want them to be located in a sellers’ market. If they’ll sell an average of 48 days quicker than homes in a buyers’ market, here are three of the top states to have a home on the market.

Tennessee

The appeal of coastal cities is starting to decline, which has benefited flyover states like Tennessee. Cities like Nashville, in particular, are making their way onto lists of top sellers’ housing markets. They offer the same kind of excitement that you’d get in New York or LA but with lower living costs and less crowding.

Nashville is currently 9th on the list of best sellers’ markets, but it's rising rapidly. Although it's not quite caught up with Dallas, it’s now a better place to sell a home than Austin, Texas. So if you happen to have a home in Nashville, Knoxville, or Memphis, now might be the perfect time to put it on the market.

Colorado

Like towns in Tennessee, Colorado is becoming increasingly popular. There’s nowhere better in America to explore nature and breathe clean air. For outdoor enthusiasts, Colorado is heaven on Earth. This is leading to properties flying off the shelves.

Denver, Colorado, is the third-best sellers’ market right now. Anyone with property here should consider putting it on the market to make a quick sale. Of course, if you have homes in nearby cities like Boulder, Aspen, or Fort Collins, then these are also bound to sell well, especially if they come with Rocky Mountain views.

California

That’s why four of the top ten sellers’ market cities are located in California. These include San Jose at number one, followed by San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Sacramento.

Any property owners in these cities or nearby towns are in a fantastic position. You should have no problem selling your home quickly and at a good price. If you have property there, sell your house in the Central Valley as soon as possible. Then, use the money to move into a buyers’ market where you’ll find affordable and plentiful housing options.

If you want to sell your home, then the first thing you need to do is check the market. Anyone based in California shouldn’t have a problem, but other states are catching up. Homeowners in Texas, Tennessee, and Colorado have a particularly good chance of selling their homes if they put them on the market today. Take advantage of this great selling position if you have the opportunity to do so.
