Our local expert for the Danville market, Ann Wells, reports that 2007 was a good year for the area, with 883 sales at an average price of 78,235 dollars and an average of 131 days on the market.

And 2008 looks to be even more productive, reports Wells, who says 48 sales have already closed and 74 more are pending.

The Danville area market will remain stable, as it didn't see the extravagant price inflation seen in other areas of the country, says Wells.

And without a huge inflation, there's simply no need for a market correction.

And with some of the lowest average sales prices in the country, low cost of living and a strong community, this area is proving very attractive to buyers.
