Tell Your Story Tell Your Story

Every real estate agent and every home for sale has its own story. Each agent came into real estate for their own reasons. There is a story for every home also. Each home whether it be five years new or a 100 years old has a story to tell.

Use search engine optimization and search engine marketing to help tell the story of agents and homes. The more traffic that comes to your personal real estate web site the more your story is shared. Many realtors do not utilize a personal web site at all. This is understandable if the marketing techniques that are currently used accomplish the goal of creating steady, quality business.

Even if you are constantly getting business from other marketing methods, it makes sense to get some bang from your website. Most companies give you a website that you can personalize and rank. Each real estate agent has their own specialty. Each agent has their zip codes that they know better than all of the other zip codes.

If I specialize in residential homes in Fremont,CA, I should promote that. All search engine optimization and search engine marketing do for a real estate web site is improve its traffic. Search engine optimization is work done on site to optimize it for the search engines. The three major search engines are Google,Yahoo, and Bing. Search engine marketing is work done off site to help get your website ranked on first page of search engines to  increase organic traffic. Organic traffic is visitors that find your website using keyword phrases in searches on the search engines. For example, I would want my website to be on first page of Google,Yahoo, and Bing for residential homes in Fremont along with more popular searches in this area.

Why? This is that particular agents specialty. If I am ranked on first page of search engines for keyword phrases that acquire visitors to my website, I have the opportunity to tell my story and create new clients. Would this not be a great use of a personal real estate website? Many websites go unused. There is a picture of a real estate agent and no traffic going to the website as it is not optimized and not promoted in any way.

Take a little time to contact an SEO company and find out what can be done to improve your website traffic. Know your budget. If there is no budget for this, see if you have someone in your network that may be willing to help. Tell your story.
