Some people prefer their toilet to be behind another separate door for privacy issues. But if yours is open make sure that it’s not the focal point of the room. The simple way to do this is to make sure it’s not in front of the door, in other words, so it’s not the first thing you see when you walk in.
Double sinks are key
Not every couple uses their bathroom to get ready at the same time. Double sinks might not seem like a necessity to you but if you have space put them in. They’re incredibly useful and buyers really look for them when purchasing a home.
Consider storage for everything
Make a list of everything in your bathroom and create a storage space for it. Everything, like towels, cosmetics, medicine, and toilet paper, needs a space. Also consider placement, as you want certain items like toilet paper closer to the toilet and towels closer to the shower.

Showers should be functional for everything
Showers are probably the biggest feature in an en suite. Make sure yours is as practical as possible. A bench is perfect for sitting and shaving. Nooks are necessary for storing shampoo and soap. Towel hooks and rods should be within easy reach for when you exit.
Spacing should be considered
Home builders know there are certain spacing and dimensions that bathroom should have. Some of it is for codes but most times its convenience. The general rule is to allow two feet of space between fixtures like showers, toilets, and sinks to allow for movement.
Closet placement
Most master bedrooms these days have walk-in closets. The placement of these is another big debate. Each placement has its advantages and disadvantages. Do you want to walk through the bathroom to get to the closet? Or walk through the closet to get to the bathroom? Should they be completely separate? Look at your daily routine to see which would be best for you.
