With all household pests, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Pantry beetles are a common problem brought into home via dry goods and pet food, but once they’re introduced to a household they will feed on and lay eggs in-virtually anything. All day goods in a cupboard should be kept sealed in order to deny these ubiquitous insects a food supply. Once pantry beetles have been discovered, the only cure is a total pantry cleanout.  To prevent these ants from making a nest of your home or computer, remove trash, debris, and landscape materials that they can nest under. Two main species of termites target warm, humid areas.
